Dmitri Alperovitch

Dmitri Alperovitch is an internationally recognized thought leader on geopolitics and national security currently serving as the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Silverado Policy Accelerator, an innovative non-profit think tank focused on advancing American prosperity and global leadership in the 21st century and beyond.

He is the host and creator of Silverado's popular "Geopolitics Decanted" podcast, dedicated to expert analysis of the war in Ukraine and as well as broader issues related to great power competition with China and Russia, security in the Indo-Pacific, industrial policy, semiconductors and cybersecurity.

Alperovitch is the author of “World on the Brink: How America Can Beat China in the Race for the Twenty-First Century,” a national bestseller. In December of 2021, Alperovitch publicly predicted that Vladimir Putin would launch an invasion of Ukraine later that winter, one of the first geopolitical analysts to have warned of the upcoming war.

In 2021, he launched the Alperovitch Institute for Cybersecurity Studies at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), a premier academic institution producing paradigm shifting, impactful research and instruction at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology, intelligence and international affairs.

Prior to founding Silverado, Alperovitch co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer of CrowdStrike, one of the world’s largest cybersecurity companies.

He is a frequent subject matter expert interviewed by leading national and international print and TV outlets, and his writings have been published by the The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Economist, Foreign Policy and Foreign Affairs Magazines.

In 2023, Alperovitch was given the prestigious Outstanding American by Choice Award by the Department of Homeland Security.Alperovitch advises CEOs and Boards of Directors of public and private companies, serves as an active angel investor and sits on the boards of multiple high-growth technology companies.
