Norman Augustine is the former Chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he oversaw one of the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies during a period of significant consolidation in the industry. Before leading Lockheed Martin, he served in top executive roles at Martin Marietta and worked in senior government positions at the U.S. Department of Defense. Augustine is widely respected for his leadership in engineering, technology policy, and national security strategy. He has chaired numerous commissions on science, education, and space policy, including the “Augustine Commission” on the future of U.S. space exploration. His book Augustine’s Laws humorously and insightfully reflects on the challenges of managing complex technology programs. He has been recognized with multiple awards for his contributions to business and public service.
